After each product course is completed, you will receive a certification for each product.
What is Provided in the Product Course?
The training must be completed in Fort Payne, AL factory, or on-site events. Each product in the Heil Nexteligence Certification Program only takes one day to learn. The courses focus on pre- defined learning objectives using Heil manuals and resources and supplemented by student guide resources.
What if You Do Not Need a Certification?
Responsive Training is an open-format, unstructured training that allows you to increase your knowledge of Heil products but, you do not become certified on each product at the end of the lesson. Unlike the Heil Nexteligence Certification Program, student guide resources have to be purchased separately.
Are You Looking to Become Nexteligence Connected Tech Certificatified?
It does not matter if you are beginning in the waste industry or if you spent a career on it. Nexteligence Connected Tech Certification has multiple levels of certification offered both in a classroom and online. The training focuses on the Heil product line but also includes knowledge that will benefit technicians across various equipment in the refuse industry. The MAT training from Heil Nextelligence Certification Program (shown above) supports Nexteligence Connected Tech Certification. This gives you the ability to get certification for each product while working on the Nexteligence Connected Tech Certification simultaneously.
How Does Nexteligence Connected Tech Certification work?
- Connected Tech Certification consists of three elements:
- Product Specific MAT training
- Connected Teach Course
- Practical Shop Experience
- The various levels includes:

- Bronze: Entry-level technicians looking to gain foundational skills and knowledge.
- Product Specific MAT training: N/A
- Connected Teach Course: Classroom or Online
- Practical Shop Experience: 80 hours
- Silver: Technicians with at least one year of experience working on Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) looking to gain intermediate skills and knowledge.
- Product Specific MAT training: Two Products
- Connected Teach Course: Classroom or Online
- Practical Shop Experience: Additional 120 hrs
- Gold: Technicians with three or more years of experience working on RCVs to gain advanced knowledge and skills.
- Product Specific MAT training: Three Additional Products (Five total)
- Connected Teach Course: Classroom or Online
- Practical Shop Experience: Additional 160 hrs
- Platinum: Gold Connected Tech Technicians who wish to become Master Trainers on Heil Equipment.
- Product Specific MAT training: Three Additional Products (Eight total)
- Connected Teach Course: Classroom or Online
- Practical Shop Experience: Additional 200 hrs
- Bronze: Entry-level technicians looking to gain foundational skills and knowledge.
Each level must be completed respectively from Bronze up to Platinum. After achieving certification in each level, the applicable Nexteligence Connected Tech uniform patch is given as a reward.
